On 13 November 2019, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Digital Kazakhstan Association and the Association of Online Trade Enterprises (Republic of Belarus).
The purpose of the memorandum is to develop and strengthen cooperation in the field of e-commerce and related business areas, which provides for the joint solution of the following tasks:
1. Establishment of fair competition principles in the e-commerce market
2. Creation of a secure service for customers in the e-commerce market
3. Protection of the rights and legitimate interests of fair participants in the e-commerce market
4. Assistance in the development of the main areas of activity and development of e-commerce
5. Removal of restrictions and barriers, elimination of exemptions existing in the territory of the Eurasian Economic Union countries in the field of e-commerce
To achieve these goals, the Association will exchange experience and information, including publicly available statistical data, best practices, self-regulation standards and legislative initiatives, effective techniques and working methods, prepare recommendations and promote the dissemination of positive experience of e-commerce entities and related business areas in other countries around the world. They will also participate in scientific research aimed at studying topical issues related to the development of e-commerce and of mutual interest, provide information partnerships and hold joint seminars, meetings, forums and other similar events.
The Digital Kazakhstan Association plans to bring together all e-commerce associations in the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union for cooperation.
