On 24-26 July 2024, Denis Stepanets, Chairman of the DKA Council, and Elena Bychkova, Managing Director, took part in discussions on the draft Agreement on Electronic Trade in Goods in the Eurasian Economic Union, held at the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The agreement aims to regulate mutual e-commerce in the Union's internal market, ensure the rights and legitimate interests of participants in mutual e-commerce, and define general rules for interaction between them. The agreement has been under discussion for several years and has undergone significant changes in terms of strengthening the protection of the rights and interests of the parties.
At the initiative of the DKA, certain provisions of the Agreement concerning areas of regulation, the protection of participants' rights, the execution of payments, etc. were amended in order to protect the interests of Kazakhstani businesses.
